Return to In-Person Worship, September 13, 8:00 a.m. Outside Under the Oak Tree

Holy Eucharist Rite I with an abbreviated sermon begins September 13 at 8:00 a.m. The Vestry and Staff agree that the time has come for us to, as safely as possible, welcome you back to campus. We will begin with this service of Holy Eucharist Rite I as is our custom at 8:00 a.m. Communion will be distributed using a lovely wafer and wine combination pre-packaged chalice that is recyclable. The expectations from all who feel safe attending in-person are:
--Masks will be worn at all times
--Bring your own chair and maintain a safe physical distance of 6 feet between people of different family groups.
We are hopeful that this return to the sacramental worship of the church will be safe and helpful to those who are in need of safe contact with others. The 9:00 a.m. Live Stream will continue for all those who do not feel comfortable coming in-person. Remember the safest form of worship is still online.

Charlie Wilson is hosting DIvine Diners at The Tap Room at Dubsdread in College Park. Sunday, August 23, 6:00 p.m.
We are limiting the group to the first 12 to call Charlie and sign up.
We will ensure outside seating and cancel if the weather does not cooperate. We will be seated at three tables of four people each to mitigate risk and attempt to enjoy each other's company at as safe a distance as possible.
You must feel comfortable in a group of 12 people with at least three other people closer than 6 feet apart and without a mask when you eat and drink. We are expecting that if you have come into contact with anyone with COVID 19 or are having symptoms that would be a sign of possible infection you will take personal responsibility and not attend. Please call Charlie Wilson 321-279-1089 to say you will be there!

Tiffany Lane, Reiki Master and Spiritual Director, leads us through an hour of contemplative prayer practice and silence now in person just outside the doors of the Church. This will replace her Live Stream on Facebook. If you would like to continue to pray with Tiffany and do not feel comfortable coming to the church, you can watch her videos on Facebook, YouTube and our website anytime,
The "Sacred Time" group meets every Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. live on the St. Richard's Facebook page.  We "practice" contemplative prayer methods such as centering prayer, lectio divina, and guided meditation.  Following a brief introduction of the practice for the day, there is a 20 minute mediation/contemplation period in which we listen to what God is inviting us to hear or see.

Almighty and everlasting God, you are always more ready to hear than we to pray, and to give more than we either desire or deserve: Pour upon us the abundance of your mercy, forgiving us those things of which our conscience is afraid, and giving us those good things for which we are not worthy to ask, except through the merits and mediation of Jesus Christ our Savior; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
