EDUCATION FOR MINISTRY
Education for Ministry (EfM) is a unique four-year distance learning certificate program in theological education based on small group study and practice. Since its founding in 1975, this international program has assisted more than 120,000 participants discover and nurture their call to Christian service. EfM helps the faithful encounter the breadth and depth of the Christian tradition and bring it into conversation with their experiences of the world as they study, worship, and engage in theological reflection together.

The program invites participants into small, mentored groups that provide the framework for understanding life and shaping actions as Christian faith is deepened. EfM seminar groups meet in local settings and online, and provide a four-year curriculum that develops a theologically informed, reflective, and articulate laity.

You can join Elenita Brodie (2nd year) and Cheryl Hooper (1st year) in this program through the Episcopal Diocese of Kentucky. Please contact the Rev. Alison Harrity at rector@strichards.org or call 407-671-4211 if you are interested. The new year starts in January 2023.

Welcome to St. Richard's Episcopal Church!

All are welcome at the table of God
Every man woman and child.
For Christ brings peace to all,
Tearing down every hostile wall.
So that the many may become one,
One heart, one family, one new humanity.

For God who is love, and Christ who is all and in all
Show no partiality and make no distinction.
So neither race nor class, gender nor sexuality,
Politics nor religion, personality nor nationality,
Count for us, or against us.

The light of Christ enlightens all:
Christ the prisoner and the naked,
Christ the hungry and the sick,
Christ the thirsty and the stranger,
Christ the other.

May God’s spirit hover over our chaos,
Our hatred and our indifference.
Descend in our hearts with love and pleasure.
Blow us out into the world to listen and serve.
And set us ablaze to forgive and reconcile.
For all are welcome at the table of God,
Every man, woman and child.

Welcome to St. Richard’s Episcopal Church!
