Nestled within the pines of Winter Park, Florida, St. Richard's Episcopal Church is a welcoming and inclusive church that is seeking a rector to guide us into our next chapter of parish life.
Introduction and Prayer
St. Richard’s has a unique mission as the only open and affirming parish in the Diocese of Central Florida. We value every person’s dignity, regardless of color, sexual orientation, political affiliation, or socioeconomic position. At St. Richard’s, we see God in every person and honor that person.
Lord God, you are the God that makes all things new and restores life from ashes. We ask your guidance as we search for our next rector. We pray that the Holy Spirit guides that person to St. Richard’s to lead us as continue our ministry and work in Central Florida. May the Holy Spirit guide our next rector to love and care for our congregation, lead others to St. Richard’s, and guide us as we enter the next chapter of our parish life together. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Our Parish
Staff and Volunteers: St. Richard’s has a staff of five: Rector, Parish Administrator, Sexton, Director of Music, and Nursery Director. Our volunteers donate their time in worship services, small groups, adult and youth education, finances, pastoral care, and maintaining the gardens and grounds.
Worship and Music
Worship and Music: Schola St. Richard’s is the principal vocal ensemble of our church. The Schola perform at the main Sunday service (10:30 am), special services, and community and Diocesan events. The repertoire includes plainsong, traditional and contemporary sacred anthems, Anglican chant, Taizé, gospel and sacred Jazz.

Our Finances

The pledges, understandably, dropped in the year following the previous rectors departure. St. Richard’s parishioners are extraordinarily faithful and generous, and the parish will again regain its former pledge levels. The parish also has several Member Ministries, which generate monthly income for St. Richard’s.
