Weekly Reflections

Dear St. Richard’s Church Community:

Generosity is a practice that we learn and nurture within our hearts. It is a blessing to give away what we have worked to acquire and to donate our time for the benefit of others without expecting anything in return. Love inspires us to share our time, talent, and treasure with others. Contributing to the life and ministry of the St. Richard’s Community is a walk in love. Jesus causes a revolution by loving and caring for those at the margins and teaches us to do the same. He walks in love with the poor, with the sick, and we are to walk in his ways. We strive to do the same at St. Richard’s where our mission is to discover God’s grace, change our lives and change the world. In this crazy world it is love that will make the difference, love that will save us. The most miraculous gift of Love is that it is within us all always. We find it, tap into it, and it grows continuously. And look what happens? We share, give, volunteer, accompany others, feed each other, pray, visit, always strive for change for the better. This year as our Pledge Drive kicks off, we will intentionally raise up stories of how we tell the stories of our souls with each other in our congregation. I invite you to share your stories of inspiration and connection with our shared ministry in this place and with each other. I invite you to Tell out Your Soul!
